Aloha guys!!

Just wanted to introduce myself to all you TunaGopdz & TunaDivas out there. I am the other half of TunaGodz.com and my name is Eric Zeker but most everyone besides my John and my Mom call me “ZEKE”. John and I have known each other since high school and through different events through life, have just stayed in touch. I am by no means a big fisherman nor do I claim to be so it is a little ironic that I have a huge part in this new website and lifestyle of fishing. Being from Hawaiian descent, but raised in SoCal, I have been raised around all the different foods of the Asian cultures as well as all the normal stuff any Californian would be a part of, which includes the ocean. I remember when I was 8 or 10 years old and we used to take the truck filled with empty trash cans down to the Balboa and Newport Piers to load them with squid. Our entire family, Gramps, Grandma, Aunts & Uncles would be a part of these trips which went on for a few weeks. My Grandma would take one of these full trash cans home to cook-and-clean the squid in several different ways. My Grandpa grew up in Maui, Hawaii as a free-diver and assisted my Great Grandpa with his commercial fishing business.

I am close to 50 now and I can honestly say that I have only been fishing out in the sea or on the shore about a dozen times. Fortunately I have had the great pleasure of working for about 3 of my bosses that were all big fisherman, some with there own boats and others just fishing as a way of life. They would float tube in the Dana Point Flats for Halibut, or go Fly fish off-shore in Catalina Island and go catch 200 lbs. Tuna down in Mexico. I saw what fishing meant to these guys and how they wanted to spend any free time they had on the water. Being on the boats sometimes with these guys I learned all the “Good’s and Bad’s” and problems you run into when fishing or trying to catch fish.

This website TunaGodz.com will hopefully become a part of your daily fishing life. We want all your fishing experiences to be happy and fun ones. Not trips from Hell!! By using our Fish Forum you can constantly talk to other fishermen who are currently out there fishing in spots where they are catching not just casting and retrieving. TunaGodz will put you in touch with Fishing Charters in your area, as well as the whole United States &Hawaii, Canada and Mexico. Our goal is to make it easy for you and your family to book hotels and excursions easily and problem free. TunaGodz can put you in-touch with private 6-Pack Charters and Harbor Cruises in your local waters or on vacation.

But what really intrigued me about getting involved with TunaGodz was the opportunity we have to create happy moments and great times for family and friends. The concept of TunaDivas, which has the goal of getting more girls involved with fishing and diving. Our GOAL is to create trips for Father’s to take their daughters on, in a safe and fairly controlled environment. Here they can learn about fishing, cleaning fish and cooking. They will learn to appreciate fishing on a different level just like their Dad or Mom does. The most important thing that TunaGodz & TunaDivas is trying to do is create long lasting memories and fun times with your family.

I have come to learn that the Fishing community is just a big family and we are always trying to help family out. Let us help you Catch that Giant Tuna in Venice, Louisiana, round-up that Florida lobster during the right season, and find the right spot to dig for clams New England. TunaGodz wants to help plan your next fishing trip with our charter links. We want to help plan your next dinner or provide you with recipes to clean and cook your great catch you made earlier in the day. I have the title of VP of Content, so it is my job to get those articles, recipes, and to go over all your feedback and get it to everyone of our viewers out there. So I encourage all of you to please send your pictures of your latest catches, family outings and vacations, as well as your best fish recipes so others can enjoy what you do when you go fishing.
